Diagnosed in October 2016, Nikki refused to let her prognosis define her. Rather than dwelling on limitations, she chose to live with intention and determination, becoming one of the longest survivors of this disease. Those who knew her best remember her as radiant both inside and out—a powerful and inspiring presence whose spirit left a lasting impression. Her loss is not only deeply personal to those who loved her, but also a poignant reminder of a life lived with extraordinary bravery.
Nikki’s passing has been felt throughout the Lawrence community, where friends, neighbors, and loved ones have come together to support her family with compassion and care. Her husband, Chess Woolfolk, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love shown during this difficult time, noting how meaningful that support was throughout Nikki’s journey.
This obituary honors not only Nikki Woolfolk’s passing, but also celebrates the grace, strength, and love she shared so generously.
