Those who knew her best remember her as radiant both inside and out—a powerful and inspiring presence whose spirit left a lasting impression. Her loss is not only deeply personal to those who loved her, but also a poignant reminder of a life lived with extraordinary bravery.
Nikki’s passing has been felt throughout the Lawrence community, where friends, neighbors, and loved ones have come together to support her family with compassion and care. Her husband, Chess Woolfolk, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love shown during this difficult time, noting how meaningful that support was throughout Nikki’s journey.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Warren-McElwain, 120 West 13th Street, followed by a Celebration of Life in her honor.
